I saw it in a book on science fiction stories when I was a kid. I borrowed it from the library, its no longer there now.

Camera position is in a spaceships doorway.
Woman in spacesuit running up ramp trying to get back in.
She is being chased by maggots/grubs about 2 feet long. They pretty much blanket the entire landscape and a couple are on the ramp.
I think there were a couple guys behind her getting eaten/overwhelmed.
Behind her is a "Doomwheel" type vehicle shooting a piercing laser into the maggots.

Thats all I remember. I wanto to say it was the cover to a Science Fiction magazine in the 30s because it was early in that book.

Does anyone know what this picture was?

Thanks in advance.

And have gone through coverbrowser.com with no success…. yet.

Your angle sounds better.
