"The first few minutes from the season premiere of Falling Skies reveal a brand new Ben — one who runs into the battlefield stabbing aliens in the head with his big knife. How has the war between the Skitters and the humans changed this kid? Meanwhile, humans are still hiding behind rubble flinging whatever they can at the otherworldly forces. No sign of Tom just yet — when will we find out what happened to him? The two hour season premiere will air on June 17th at TNT." Teaser here. link Amicalement Armand |

Well the kid changed because he probably believes the Aliens have killed or done something even more horrible to his Dad, Plus they killed his Mom as well. |

I really like the show the characters are somewhat weak but the story is good. My biggest complaint is the weapons. I'm a gun guy after 20 years in the Marine Corps and now over 10 in Federal lawenforcement service I like guns so when a show like this has H&Ks, AK47's and FNCs where are they getting them from?? I can see M-16A2, M-4s, M-14 and civilian deer rifles and shotguns but the last season they were tooling around with a RPG. Where the hell did they get that especially in a very un-friendly State towards guns MA is. |

For the first year, I thought they did pretty good with the series. Hopefully in its second season it will get a bigger budget. |

Irish Marine, I also enjoy watching the show and have the same feeling. Born, raised and (for now) still living in Massachusetts I thought the same thing on the weapons they were packing. Where did they find them in THIS state? Also, the show seems to not have anyone teaching them basic tactics. One episode had Ben inside a house with a full auto assault rifle. The bad guys were all bunched up in a group 20 yards in front of the house telling him to come out. He could have dropped 3 or 4 in the first burst before the others knew what hit them. After fighting for several months, the ones that don't know how to use cover would have been weeded out by now. |

There are for sure some holes in the story. Like Nobody in the whole camp can cook except Pope the ex-con. What every single female there is a feminist and doesn't subscribe to the notion that women cook!? So the only one who can is the ex-con thats pretty weak for character development. |

After everybody passed away, it took me two years to learn how to cook for myself and I'm 50! |

good show, and any show that has readily available guns is make believe to any of us not in the US (or middle east)so can't say what weapons they utilise is a big deal in any way. Can see why people in MA find it amusing/confusing though. |

Where did they find them in THIS state? Maybe they brought them in from other states. I grew up just over the border in Maine and the laws were much less restrictive. Not sure there are that many Russian or Chinese-made weapons up there as the show portrays, but whatevs. As for the US-made stuff, maybe they looted some army or national guard bases, or the military trucked it in when the fighting started. |
