Is it possible to record a movie that's been saved in a DVR onto DVD? I have a VCR-DVR combo, and would like to get some shows off my cable's DVR.

Thank you.

I would like to know how also.
(True story) I lost a sale because a guy who REALLY wanted to switch to Comcast had 60 episodes of "Three's Company" recorded on his DirecTV DVR. He would have saved $85 a month.
His wife thought he was nuts too.

I wish I knew how he could have saved that garbage to … just about anything! Even a VHS tape.

This haqs come up more than once, but only once with Three's Company.

A friend of mine does this, so I know it's possible.

I think you need some specialty hardware such as:

Ah, 'Three's Company'. That little slice of harmless '70s titillation television. I paid more attention to Joyce and Suzanne, not to mention enjoying the weekly beatdown of Mr. Roper by his Missus.

Hmmm. Looks like I'm gonna have to spend some money that I don't have, and that's not a good thing. Most of what I've got recorded is from Turner Classic Movies (TCM), some of which isn't available on DVD. I also have the series 'Pan Am', which I don't really want to buy when (or if) it comes out on DVD. Oh well, I'll figure something out. Thanks, fellas!

Never saw it, but I hear it was based on our sitcom, 'Man About the House', which was bloody awful.

There are (one supposes) sitcoms worth owning.
Three's Company is not one of them.

That's how I get stuff off of Sky+ onto DVD.
