…the following will be ringing in my ears forever:

The long version, which was about French actor Gerard Depardieu's recent "incident" on board a plane, is below, but BEWARE! – the clip is loaded with many bad puns and eye-rolling double entendres:

I think I can sympathize with Mr Cooper…

I did this once when I had to teach a map reading class to about 40 soldiers going through their basic crewman course in our regiment. The map trace I had been given had some rude words for report lines and I couldn't stop giggling when I put it up on the overhead projector. Finally I said "you're dismissed until I can get control of myself!" We resumed the class about 15 minutes later. The senior NCO later told me I did the right thing by stopping the class. Maybe Anderson should have gone to commercial… grin

I've been in the same situation in my life, too, Tim. One incident that stands out was when I was in 8th grade, during a test. There was nothing that set me off in particular – just had a case of the giggles. The teacher gave me a look, though.

Some of my favorite moments from the era of Carson were when he would lose it over his own joke. The "Sis-boom-bah" incident is classic.

I ended up on the floor in a Sav-On drugstore checkout aisle when I picked up a tape of 'Truck Drivin' Hits'… one title I remember was 'I Am A Truck'.
It struck me just right and I nearly laughed myself unconscious.
The other people in the line were a bit worried.

It's been a long time since I've had a laughing fit…

I haven't had a fit like that in years.
