My Daughter Mary will be 31 Dec. 12th
.She's still single

She's still single Is this a selling point, or a complaint? Heck, I'll take her – I mean, I'm married already, but I'm sure the wife won't mind someone to clean up around the house and go to work while we stay home

You have my sympathy. I've got a 30 year old son too busy enjoying himself to worry about providing us with grand kids. |

Congrats. Well, better to be single than married and divorced once, or multiple times, like many people are. |

I've been married to the same woman for 21 years, with three kids into the bargain. I wouldn't trade it. Horses for courses I suppose. |

I was 30 when I finally got married, coming on seventeen years ago. She's either met someone or she hasn't. Better if she's happily single than miserably married, though. |

Don't worry about it. We got married late. Had 2 kids late. I was 37 and my wife was 35. Neither of us dated much before we met. |

Hey, as long as she's happy, healthy, productive, and a law-abiding citizen, then everything's good. What Top Gun Ace and Neotacha said are absolutely true, given what's seen on all of these crazy talk shows, court programs, and in the news. BTW, are you hinting at hoping to see some grandkids soon, kyote? Just wonderin'. |

I have to agree with the general tenor of the thread thus far, honestly. To be fair, my own family has raised questions about my marital intentions, but as has been said, rather happily single than miserably married. And I can spend my cash on miniatures and history books without a scolding! Sweeeeet

When I was a young man I dated a lot. Mostly horrible times. I had a few long term GFs but I always veered away from marriage. It seemed no one was good enough for me. But on further inspection plenty of them were great! The point is deep down inside I knew I couldnt commit to this. I couldnt cut my life in two and give half to another person. I think for me it has worked out for the best as I know now any commitment would have ended in divorce. I'm not sure what your daughters situation is or what you are implying by your ambiguous statement but my advice is that not everyone lives according to plan. If she truly wants someone they will eventually be there. Best wishes. R |

BTW, are you hinting at hoping to see some grandkids soon, kyote? Nah he's got those already. He's probably worried she won't have anyone to take care of her when she gets old. |

She'll find someone when the time is right. I've been with my partner for four and a half years now. We've bought our house and are now looking at wedding venues. I met her when I was 33
