I am sure he's a human being too. Eminently fallible, but you have repeatedly characterised his position as something it is not. And I don't think 'being a fan' is a license to misrepresent.

He wrote an entire damn book about his views on religion and what you say he thinks is not in there. I am not objecting to you thinking he is human, I am objecting to you repeatedly misrepresenting his views. I am not even the first here to point this out.

Different things entirely. Sorry about that. I will of course withdraw and apologise if you can produce one speck of evidence that you are correctly representing his views with 'The Bilbe was wrong about Evolution therefore there is no God'.

"As for his not being AWARE, just point to ONE positive "we should be more like the US" comment.

I have sevral times pointed out my admeration of the constituion, and the founding fathers, I have also pointed out that that Norway is beeing taxes to much, half out car price is tax, alcohol is taxes to much(mostly becasue if irraional fear of people going crazy and drinking them self to death)

There are many things I like about the States, and wouldn't mind studieng there.

Hi

This could be an "observer bias" thing. I have heard Dawkins explain how he came to be an athiest because of the biology and heard an complaint about believers. I expect that the reverse is true, that if one starts as an atheist one doesn't hear this slant because of agreement.

Some of my best friends are "believers". While I am not, I do hear the smug elitism in academia a lot. I might be over sensitive, and you might be less so.

Much like being of color and hearing a lot more in discrimination than one who isn't.

The comparison with Pittsburgh is this: America is comparable in size and much larger in spread EUROPE. Comparing a tiny "state" of a few million with a continental size entity hundreds of millions is limiting the sample. European Union versus United States is more apt than treating either Norway or Portugal as "Europeans".

There are places in the US where the taxes are just like Norway, and places where the taxes are almost non-existent beyond the general fed taxes.

The conditions and cost of living in, say, New Jersey are quite differnt than those of Wyoming.

And we have really wandered off this topic!
