He was only a little before my time. I do remember him from bit appearances and, of course, the Hollywood Squares. Rest in peace sir.

The great Soupy Sales. His kids show was also slightly ahead of my time, but I did get to enjoy seeing him in other programs over the years. I'll always remember one of his "Soupy Sez" quotes that I heard: "Be true to your teeth, and they won't be false to you". Classic. Godspeed, Soupy, and thank you very, very much.

What an odd coincidence. Just yesterday I was flipping channels and I stopped briefly on the Game Show network. It was an episode of the $100,000 Pyramid and Soupy Sales was one of the two celebrity guests – and I remember wondering if he was still among the living.
