And who could forget the "Rock and Wrestling" connection storyline with Cyndi Lauper? Sad to see him go to that "squared circle" in the sky! I'm sure he'll be a main event draw. |

I am very saddened to hear of his passing. One of my great childhood memories is of watching wrestling. I can still see him with the rubberband hanging on his face RIP Capt. Lou RIP |

Good ol' Captain Lou. The first I ever saw or heard of him was from the Cyndi Lauper music video "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", back in '83. Not too long afterward, one of my local independent tv stations began to air syndicated WWF programming, and I got to see his unique ringside style and personality. I lost interest in wrestling many years ago, but it's a safe bet to say that there'll never be such a memorable and entertaining celebrity as Captain Lou Albano was in and out of the arena. Godspeed, Cap, and thank you very much. |
