"Night Train" was used for the opening and closing sequences of southern Maine's local copy of "American Bandstand", which was kind of creepy. We played it in band, too.

In my strip club heyday in Central Texas, typical selections were Def Leppard ("Pour some Sugar on Me"), Billy Squier ("The Stroke"), Aerosmith ("Sweet Emothon"--which never goes out of style, "Jailbait"), Hall and Oates ("Maneater"), Donna Summer ("She Works Hard for the Money"), the Tubes ("She's a Beauty") and many more that would spring to mind if I thought hard about it.

Later on out here in the desert, before the Lost Hawg closed down, Warrant's "Cherry Pie" was a popular choice (patrons had to feed the jukebox for the dancers). I remember Becky, who had a special trick with paper matches… (sigh) She's in Vegas now.

I guess next time I strip paint off miniatures, I need to play some of those in the background.

I've heard that this one was very popular in the former Eastern Bloc back in the day:

Having a rethink this YouTube link was the music for my favourite "speciality" act in my wild youth. It was my first experience of Velcro which I still associate with naughtyness.

One time I saw a DJ at a strip club play "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" as a joke for one of the Dancers. That song is 8 1/2 minutes long and holds the record for the longist song ever put on a 45 RPM single.

By the end of the song, the girl wasn't even bothering to 'grind' anything, she was just stumbling around in a circle around the pole. The words she used about the DJ when the song was over had everyone in the club ROTF.

The girls played this many times in a row….when I hear it all I can think of is the strip club. :)

So many memories of so many mammaries; IMO best high energy song is Lady Marmalade, for slow & sad it's Private Dancer. I saw one of my fav performers do a scorching liquid fire act to Standing Outside the Fire by Garth Brooks. The all time best for me, tho, was the girl who (at her peak) was the finest dancer of the many that I've seen perform to Van Morrison's Moondance. I admit that I'm partial to Classic Funk & Geezer Rock in that context.
