I've got lots of weird stuff. Bjork singing children's songs in Icelandic. Traditional Arabic songs sung by women. However, I think one of the oddest is the London Festival Orchestra performing Second Avenue Serenade. It's sort of like Romanian-Jewish music meets George Gershwin and Rogers and Hammerstein. There's got to be a movie in it. Something in technocolor.

It's a tie between Thus Spoke Zarathustra – Theme from 2001:A Space Odyssey Performed on Kazoos by The Temple City Kazoo Orchestra, and A whole lotta love, also on Kazoos performed by The Temple City Kazoo Orchestra.

My son wanted us to ship him his ipod while he was in boot camp, containing mostly modern rock stuff. So I slipped in some bag pipe music, and for my wife, some country.

He told us it was a very puzzled response from the barracks (he had it on speakers).

King Kong, another band that words can't describe.

I try to keep odd stuff off of my itunes as I probably don't want to listen to it regularly and usually use shuffle mode when listening.

A couple of MC Hawking tracks and some Lovecraft filk (Walk Like A Deep One).

As for "serious" wierd, I've got 3 BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge albums with some unusual cover versions (Arctic Monkeys covering Girls Aloud, Girls Aloud doing Wheatus' Teenage Dirtbag, Travis doping Baby, One More Time, etc) and Tinariwen, north African Tuareg blues.

In my play list is some Turkish Mehtar (sic) music my son collected, some Philippine pop music that came on a refurbished iPod, a cappella version of Iron Maiden's "Fear of the Dark", "Dschinghis Khan" by the group of the same name and "Tequila Mockingbird", "Mujera Bocona" and "¿Adonde Esta El Baño?" by Max Gringo.

Is this one of those threads where people desperately try to 'out-weird' each other to appear 'interesting' and 'not a toy soldier nerd' if so,

'north African Tuareg blues.'

We have a winner!!! (I'm mad, me)

I have nothing weird at all – it's all quality sounds man….my iPod does act as a weird detector though, in that if someone doesn't like what's on it then THEY are weird.
