Irving Kristol died at the age of 89. Noted as the mane who created neoconservativesm. link RIP or Ding Dong the Witch is dead. You decided gentle reader. |

Why would you criticize a man for having lost his mind as a youth and found it as an adult? |

I critise him not which part of "You decide gentle reader" don't you understand? Neoconservativism is a polarising doctrine. I'm trying to be fair. After all we see the legacy of Irving in the policies of the Bush/Cheney. |

I'd always thought of Leo Strauss as the man who 'created neoconservatism'
not that I'm trying to take anything from Mr. Kristol, who I'm sure will be missed by his friends and family. Maybe Strauss was just a catalyst for Kristol and Wolfowitz. |

"If you are not a liberal at 17, you have no heart, "If you are not a conservative at 35, you have no brain." - Winston Churchill Rest In Peace RAF – Less comments than that got my messages about Ted Kennedy booted off the message boards. |

"If you are not a liberal at 17, you have no heart,"If you are not a conservative at 35, you have no brain." - Winston Churchill Given that both terms no longer mean what they did when that line was spoken, its still a good line. |

Neoconservativism is just mean-spirited. Whether that was the man's intent or someone else spun it in that direction, I don't venture to say. Winston Churchill didn't know everything. What does one's age have to do with having a heart? It doesn't take many brains to be able to pronounce the word no. It's only got two letters, one syllable. Yes only has one extra letter, but seems almost impossible for some to enunciate. To quote Kyoteblue: (shrug) JW |
