WhenI play any music through Windows Media player it sounds heavily distorted, the Jam have just gargled their way through 'Eton Rifles'. I don't think it does it in anyone alses area of windows, just my ID. I've checked the graphic equaliser etc. A couple of other music programmes (not suitable for listening to tracks- they are editing suites) are ok.

Any idea how to fix it?

You have and use audio editing software, but WMP doesn't like the results? That may not be WMP's fault. Does it behave that way for all files, or just the ones you've manipulated?

No- all audio files are distorted, Ripped MP3, and even Audio CDs. I'm fairly certain it doesn't do this under any one elses identities on the computer, but it is a pain having to log on as my wife just to listen to music, because all my files are then locked to me.

On a modern computer -- dunno. Back in the day: buffer size needs increased or order codecs are in needs changed.
