Mary Travers, one-third of the hugely popular 1960s folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, has died after a battle with leukemia.

Geeez, they're going too fast. Thanks for many pleasant hours listening to your voice, dear.

True to her folk roots her whole life. A lot a great music there!

I grew up on Peter, Paul, and Mary, she will be missed.

What a shame. They had some wonderful music.

I saw her in person once at a festival in Cincinnati's Burnet Woods park. A remarkable lady. Rest easy.

My senior year in high school we had to tell a story to the class. One of the girls told how she went to one of their concerts, got lost in the auditorium and ended up walking into their waiting room. They invited her to stay and she said they were all very nice to her.

My favorite song as a kid was "Puff, the Magic Dragon," so much so that my nickname at the time was Puff.

RIP, Mary, and thanks.

We can't afford to lose many more champions of the poor.

A sad loss. I'm a folk music fan, especially the traditional style.

A contemporary commented on the 60's revival, so here is "Folk Song Army" as Tom Lehrer
