…of a thousand psychic wars,

Farstar14 Aug 2009 11:01 a.m. PST

Ive been living on the edge so long
Where the winds of limbo roar

Wyatt the Odd Fezian14 Aug 2009 11:10 a.m. PST

And I'm young enough to look at
And far too old to see

Beowulf Fezian14 Aug 2009 11:18 a.m. PST

All the scars are on the inside
I'm not sure if there's anything left of me

Dont let these shakes go on
Its time we had a break from it
Its time we had some leave

Pictors Studio14 Aug 2009 12:27 p.m. PST

We've been living in the flames,
We've been eating up our brains,
Oh, please don't let theses shakes go on.

You ask me why I'm weary, why I can't speak to you

You blame me for my silence,
Say its time I changed and grew

And there's no end that I know

Glad to know mine wasn't the only youth wasted listening to the "Heavy Metal" sound track.

Soundtrack? Pff. Try the one done entirely by BOC, released as "Fire of Unknown Origin"

I was in the sad position of watching a couple use this song for their first dance at their wedding reception.

GypsyComet16 Aug 2009 1:11 p.m. PST

Who would put VotPW in a wedding reception mix? "Burning For You" sure, or even "Dominance & Submission" for a particular lifestyle (and where the reception guests were carefully chosen). I could even see a seniors wedding playing "Don't Fear the Reaper", though that would be rather odd. If I wanted to be run out of town, I might even suggest "Godzilla" if the bride or groom's weight was… well, you can complete the joke.

There are a few other BOC songs that are suitable in a wrong sort of way, particularly if you happen to object to the marriage and want to be "subtle" about saying so. just don't let the family hear the lyrics to "I'd Like to See You In Black", "Joan Crawford", or "Damaged".

"Veteran…" just isn't suitable in any way (aside from being vaguely waltz-able), and I've known people who used "The Imperial March" (aka "Darth Vader's Theme") as their wedding processional…
