After suffering a brain Aunerism several days ago, Angela Thomas passed away this evening.

Most of you probably wouldn't know Angela by name, but you would have seen her. Working as a regular featured artist on many shows including Casualty, The Bill, Bad Girls, Waking The Dead and most recently Holby, featuring heavily in this Tuesdays episode and will be seen for the next 6 weeks. Angela and I met on the set of The Marchioness Disaster when I decided that sitting with all the extras was considerably more fun than hanging out with the rest of the cast. Angela was stubborn and quite guarded, needless to say, we hit it off immediately and stayed firm friends. About a year ago she came to me with an idea for both a play and a book, loosely based on her life growing up, which was a harrowing account. I was touched that she choose me to share such a personal and tragic journey with me.

Angela had many other strings to her bow, she was an accomplished dress and doll maker, indeed she was going to make my fiancee's wedding dress in due course. She had been a model and her looks would turn many a man's head in a crowded even though she was incredibly self effacing about it all and did not see what other's did.

She was a member of the 100 Project for the Gutted Film and Theatre Company and was due to work on two projects with them next year.

Earlier this week she was actually help me sort and box my figures for my new wargames room. She kept laughing at them all but I reminded her that she made dolls herself, so she conceded defeat. She was also a huge support when my mother passed away in March this year.

She will be missed by a great many people. Myself included.

You can see a picture of her at this link.

It is always sad when someone passes away so young.

A beautiful woman with a great personality. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend and the tragic way it occurred. As Bill said, far too young to pass.

There will be a tribute to Angela on Tuesday night (28th July) after either Holby or Eastenders from the cast and crew. (Thanks to Jeff Lipman for passing this info on)

I've also been informed that Holby City will be dedicating an episode to Angie at the end of October. In addition, EastEnders held a minutes silence on the square during filming yesterday, 24th July
