I have a device that allows me to connect the two. I'm not quite clear on what modifications I need to make to either the TV or PC to get the picture working correctly. I'm trying to watch Netflix and Hulu on the TV. Thanks, John |

Does it act like a second monitor? |

I have that option. I can clone it, adjust seperately or single screen. Thanks, John |

Hi John, What have you managed to get it to do so far? My HDTV outputs S-video to my PC for recording then my PC outputs Composite to the HDTV for viewing. Regards, the Gorb |

Hi. I have hooked up the laptop to the tv. I have a set of multicolored bars on the screen of the tv. I was getting the wallpaper from my laptop on my tv screen at one point. Thanks, John |

When connecting a second monitor to a laptop, it can work in several ways, usually controlled by one of the "F" keys (top row of the keyboard) on my HP laptop it is F4, but it varies by manufactuter -- but will have some sort of screen symbol on the key. Pressing this button cycles through the modes, which tend to include: External screen off External screen showing the same as laptop (mirroring) External screen showing its own image (extended desktop) If you have just a desktop image showing, try dragging a window on to the external monitor. You may need to un-maximise the window. You can use the Display control panel to tell windows how the screens are physically arranged -- so that you can drag the cursor from one screen to the other. |

Hi, dragging the minimized window worked! Picture quality is pretty good. Now watching the Firefly series on hulu. The joys of technology. :-D Thanks for the help! John |
