With the end of the weekend upon us, Historicon wrapping up, etc., how about some smooth jazz to unwind?:

Freddie Hubbard – "Little Sunflower"

Herbie Hancock – "Watermelon Man" (1973 version)

Jan Hammer – "Crockett's Theme", from 'Miami Vice'

Now, relax. grin

Relax? Bloody relax? Have you any idea how much I hate jazz?

Try a little classic Charlie "Yardbird" Parker.

Excellent choices, Lord Hypnogogue and Tom! I've searched YouTube for the album version Hancock's "Maiden Voyage", but nothing so far. I may have the mp3, but this YouTube can get a person (read: me) spoiled and lazy pretty darn quick! laugh

I've also searched for Yusef Lateef's "Nubian Lady", but, again, no go. A DJ at a local AM soul station plays it every Sunday evening as the closing theme to his two-hour jazz program. I recommend both highly.
