Heard this one on ESPN Morning News before I went into work today. I've got to admit this is a shock. link Sounds like his wife may have killed him. A shame really as I always liked Gatti in the ring. Still you can't tell what a public person is like in private life. Viya Con Dios Arturo. |

A Montreal native, I loved watching him fight; they don't make boxers like him anymore. I've always heard nice things about him. May he rest in Peace. (btw, after McNair, that's now two athletes killed by their girlfriend/wife in a week
weird) |

I haven't kept up with the boxing world in a long, long time, but my condolences to Gatti's family and friends. ArchiducCharles raises a great observation. Two athletes killed by their significant other within a short span of time of each other; I wonder if Gatti's death could be considered a "copy cat killing", even though his wife didn't take her own life? You can bet a lot of sport shows will be talking about this and raising other questions. |
