i have loads of paintings, fantasy, semi-erotic, fairies dragons and warriors,
link
any thoughts on what to do with them ? how to promote or sell them…
i have elfwood and epilogue accounts, which are nice, but don't generate any work.

get a booth @ Gencon.
these should sell well there.

Very nice. The bird riders reminds me of the style of some of the 1960's DAW sci-fi book covers.

Just a heads-up for anyone thinking about looking at these – NSFW

Ravenscraft has the right of it – a booth at a gaming or fantasy convention (they usually have an "artists alley") would be a good way to get these out and garner new commissions. You may also want to look into DeviantArt deviantart.com

Other than that, some of the tamer stuff could be shown/sold at local street fairs. Seeing as you're in London, there's got to be a large art community. You may want to have a look around and see where the other, non-mainstream artists, go to sell their stuff.

Good luck!

Wyatt

cafepress is an option as well if you can figure out what needs to be done so you can offer tee's, mugs, mousepads, ect. of your work.

Eastercon is in London next year. They always have an art show running for most of the weekend and then an art auction to sell what's in the show.

Here's the link to next year's con odyssey2010.org I can't see a specific art show page, but there are contact details for enquiries.

thanks for your replies :)
apart from Salute, conventions are a bit of a mystery to me, i shall have to investigate further.
does anyone know whats the average cost of having a stall at a do like that ?

deientart is cool, but mostly c.a.d as far as i can tell, all my work is paintings, but might be worth another look.
thanks again
cheers
flay

NSFW = "Not Safe For Work", for anyone browsing the internet from a work computer (in case their company has some sort of security buzzer that lets the boss know if you're looking at naughty pictures…)

ahhh, fair enough
