Thought I'd warn people against this one. The subject is "Dear User," the text claims that you have been making illegal downloads, and concludes with a warning against making illegal downloads. So far, just a nuisance email
However, the email includes a link, which is placed in the text in such a way as to imply that you'll get a report of your download activity if you click on it. The link ends in .exe and will attempt to run a program on your system. I don't know what it does, but I wouldn't click on it if I were you! |

Thank you for the warning, Bill. Any idea if a typical security system's spam filter would catch it before it gets into the inbox? I'm pretty much suspicious of all e-mail that I'm not familiar with, but I'll put this one on my list. Thanks again, Bill!  |
