Latest figure is 7 dead in protests in Teheran. Mousavi may be a nutter too, but he can't be as bad as the current nutter and there is no way that election was fair.
Sadly, democracy is born in blood.

"but he can't be as bad as"

I really hope you were knocking on wood when you typed that. Seriously. I'm knocking on wood right now, just in case.

Dunno, ahmadinejad is in a class of his own when it comes to being a crazy Bleeped text.

Mousavi would need to work real hard to be as bad…

Not to get political…

But its a sad state of affairs when anybody gets killed expressing their opinion.

You should be able to say your mind and express your opinion --> Granted, Americans really cannot do this either due to "Political Correctness" and the chance we might "hurt someones feelings"…

First amendment applies to all, even if you don't like what they are saying…

Pick the response: !

1. Iranians killed for "speaking" up, but Americans are silenced by the power of political correctness?

2. I dunno, right-wing nut jobs like the one who attacked the Holocaust museum seem to have no problem expressing their "opinions."

3. political correctness-- code speak used to complain about how things are not like the good ol' days.

4. Blue Fez ?

UltraOrk16 Jun 2009 9:00 a.m. PST

First amendment applies to all,

Only with respect to the government's power to silence.

I can only hope that is turns out to be a step forward for Iran – away from terror and extremism

I reject the Right wing name for the nut job since he also had plans to attack a conservative magazine headquarters. Hate filed anti semite absolutely.

The worst part is that it doesn't really matter all that much, the country is run by the mullahs not the elected president.

"I dunno, right-wing nut jobs like the one who attacked the Holocaust"

I'd suggest you do a bit of reading about this guy. He hates Bush, the Weekly Standard, Fox News, wants the dissolution of Israel, etc. Hardly a right wing guy.

Perhaps a Mullah vs president scenario could be done?

goragrad17 Jun 2009 12:02 a.m. PST

Actually it appears that whatever his personal merits, Mousavi has become more of a symbol of the dissatisfaction with the current rulers. Therefore there could be significant change. On the other hand one of the pieces I read was of the opinion that the election could be a power grab by the Ahmadinejad and the Republican Guard who wish curtail the power of the mullahs. From theocracy to dictatorship – not necessarily an improvement.

P.S. Since 'right wingers' tend to believe in the Second Amendment anyone who uses a gun must be 'right wing' regardless of their philosophies.

Probably more than seven, and counting.

Yeah, I heard that Che Guevara was a member of the John Birch Society.

Neo-nazis feel these people should be on their side, but are too weak to actually take action. Like an eco-terrorist hating Al Gore for not spiking a tree.

It's simple, really – GWB is a moderate.

Yeah, the US has some catching up to do. The Ohio Natioanl Guard only managed four at Kent State.

Verdict: Not guilty.

Easier to point fingers than look in a mirror.
