A few days ago I came over this webcomic link And after reading about 80 of them I fell madly in love with the character of Faye, she is just so cool yet vulnerable and flawed. I've now gotten to 461 in the comic and still I love her. This is the first time I've gotten a crush on something drawn since I had a crush on gadget from rescue rangers when I was 4. atleast this one is human. |

Ok, I had to enable all the scripts on the site to eventually see the scrunchies ad. But it was worth it. The comic is cool too! |

I've gone thought all 1400+ strips now, And now I'm sad, because from now on I only get to read one a day, the last few days I've been reading like 100-150 a day |

"Weird how the style changes
" The art style? The FAQ mentions that the artist has, shockingly, been getting better as he goes. 1400 strips with no change would be pre-meditation by an accomplished artist. What this strip shows us is the progress of an amateur. It's contant, too. Even since the middle of the strip's life, there has been improvement. When first introduced Hannelore was of ambiguous age compared to the rest of the cast. Now she is clearly at the young end of the cast (which is the case; she's 22 while Dora's brother is taking a running charge at 30 and the rest are somewhere in between, Library girl, Raven, and Steve's redhead being the exceptions at the younger end). What amused and scared me was the last panel of the strip where Raven gets hired for good. I know *one* gal who is all three of the women in that panel, depending on mood. |

Yeah, the art style changing is always weird. Look at Peanuts, how Schultz changed the characters. Calvin and Hobbes, only a little change, really; Waterson was very, very good from the getgo of that strip. The thing that threw me about this strip though is the way the later style popped up at no. 24: just one example of the later, smoother drawing, and then a whole string of back to the rudimentary style. What is up with that I wonder? |

Ah, yes, I noticed a bunch more of those later on. What threw me is that #24 looks quite a bit like the later style, only stuck in there very early. |
