I bought an album from iTunes (I'm too embarrassed to name the album) and in my innocence, I imagined it would play on my mp3 player. Oh no – it's some special file that's designed to trap you into an iTunes/iPod corral. I've got an iPhone but I prefer my dinky little Zen mp3 player for music. Is there away to convert this thing to mp3? I don't even know what format it's in. Grrrr

Dom Thanks – I should have done a search 'cos that answers my question exactly. The iTunes version that I have does indeed have a "convert to mp3" choice in the advanced drop-down. I searched all iTunes yesterday but missed this. I find iTunes hugely complicated – I have no idea what I'm doing when I'm trying to use it so I avoid it as much as possible. Anyway, the album is now loaded on my mp3 player so I'm happy. Thanks again. Doug |
