Too bad they couldn't insert your icon into the offical report next to your name. It will be interesting to see how his defense attorney can explain away the confession in the official report. |

Of course you could just go and live in a normal country that isn't full of gun-toting cock-noshers with big guns and tiny brains. |

Two down, eight to go. I love every job I ever had, too; but, then again, no one ever pulled a gun. Well, there was that once; but the customer insulted the owner's collection of used tires, and he did have to defend the honor of his shop. JW |

And a postscript to this: The shooter finally got sentenced, he got 70 years. The guy showed NO remorse at all at the trial, and barely even apologised for his actions. So
that's at least some sort of closure. |

Did the victim make it through or was he paralised as you thought he might be? |

I realise that she was making the situation worse, but I'm guessing the sister didn't mean to have a hysteria fit. People are posting like they feel she meant to kick him. What happened to the accomplices? In the UK there is a law called 'Joint Enterprise'. You don't have to actually commit the crime, but the girl with the shooter could be charged on the same charge on the basis she knew what he was going to do, and accompanied him. What sort of place makes you pay to receive police training. |

The victim is paralysed from the shoulders down, he has a little bit of movement in his upper arms, and may continue to get more movement in his forearms and wrists, but he'll never even be able to breathe easily. It's tragic. As far as I know no charges were ever pressed against the accomplices. It would have been difficult to prove that they knew about the gun and the intentions. I'm absolutely positive that they both knew about both the gun and the intent to murder the victim, but I don't have any courtroom-type proof to go with my belief. -Alex |
