Someone seems to be joining Yahoo groups to get email addresses. OR, something called "Grouply" (?) will do something naughty when they get someone to reply to their "Be my friend" email to you. I got one through PirateWargames today, from a "John Hodson". WECW seems to have the same. Well, we are all grownups here, and we know better than to reply to strangers wanting to be our friend, right? |

Grouply bills itself as a way for people to manage their Yahoogroups and etc. This, of course, requires you to hand over your passwords and such, but the problem comes when Grouply accesses your entire e-mail data base to get everyone else to join. John Hodson is probably a member of the PirateWargames group and likely didn't realize that Grouply was going to spam the group. Wyatt |

Mr Hodson did apologize on the 1870 group may get to yours soon. I did get one from Michael Reese asking me to join grouply saying how much he enjoyed my posts on the spearhead group. Don't remember when I posted there last so he must have a wonderful memory

This hit the Flintloque group today too. I got a Grouply. It's a very obvious phishing scam. |
