Hello all, I need some help, as I know nothing of the genre. I need to buy a present for a friend of mine. She is an American, self-confessed comic-book nerd, and I like to get her some British stuff, maybe stuff she doesn't know of. She likes fantasy-horror stuff, a little pornographic (!) Any ideas? What about something 2000 A.D.? |

It is pretty much impossible to get 2000 A.D. here in the US, so Pictors' suggestion is a good one. I have no idea what from that series would be good. |

If she likes fantasy and horror then try one of these series from 2000AD (all should be available as graphic novels): - Durham Red (vampire science fiction in a sort of 40K universe). - Slaine – particularly the Horned God series are they are the early stuff (Celtic barbarian). - Leviathan (fantasy horror on a Titanic type cruise liner) - Scarlet Traces (steampunk horror) And there's a series about paranormal investigators that has vaguely Hellblazer or Call of Cthulhu type plots but the title completely eludes me at the moment

This is great stuff, thanks. How about the, er, more, 'adult' themed horror fantasy that she seems to like? John |

Slaine is borderline "adult" horror fantasy
