Awesome, especially since you're based in the US. I'd be quite surprised if even one in a thousand US residents had ever heard of the Hussites. -Kle. |

If your group was started back when I lived in the US I might have joined you. (Do you know of any British groups? or do you have auxillary members?) I did a Hussite persona for the SCA, and have long been interested in the era. My family is of Czech immigrant descent, and within the Czech community the Hussites are certainly known. One of the earlier groups of colonists was the Moravian Brotherhood, who were essentially the remnents of the Hussite Church, who settled in North Carolina after being kicked out of Europe after the 30 Years War. But, yeah, I imagine elsewhere in US society knowledge of the Hussites is rather thin. |
