I saw the premiere yesterday.

The best Super Heroe movie of all-time IMHO, a masterpiece. Ledger is fantastic, Bale is, as always, excellent, and so are the supporting casts.

A dark, heroic tragedy with detailed characters, Nolan work is superb.

Head and shoulders above Batman (1989), and I'm a fan of Burton's movie.

(btw, I'm a Batman fan (I collect the Comics since I'm 10))

I've rarely seen a movie live up to the hype as well as this one. MUST SEE.

Hope to see it this weekend. Thanks.

How does it compare to Batman Begins? generally.

ArchiducCharles18 Jul 2008 8:07 a.m. PST

Better (and I enjoyed Begins immensely). It's a more polished work. But you still get the same sense of "real" that Batman Begins had. The actions scene, imho the weakness of Batman Begins, are noticeably better.

And, Nolan uses CGI as little as possible.

I just came back from seeing it and i must say it's very dark, but i liked it.

There's alot of twists and turns in The Dark Knight and sometimes you don't know what will happen next.

Although i enjoyed Iron Man somewhat more and since i'm a Marvel fan first and foremost.

Loved it, loved it, loved it.

I won't say that it was flawless (not quite), but I agree – best superhero movie ever made (so far!).

I sat up for the midnight showing. Great movie, though, as many critics (even the very happy ones) have pointed out, it's too long, and I think it causes it to lose some effect.

As good (and'epic') as TDK is, I still believe "Iron Man" is the best CB movie yet.

Back! I really liked it .. Ledger in particular is excellent – and that's not because he's dead – that argument is ridiculous I think.

slight spoiler alert…but a really small one…honest…

Great film…dark, brooding, heroic, tragic..everything that's been said above. I've always been indifferent to Heath Ledger…largely passed me by…but a truly great performance that shook off the ghost of Jack Nicholson.

Worth it just for the look on my son's face when it dawned on him what was about to happen to Harvey Dent and what/who he would become…priceless!

Covert Walrus18 Aug 2008 4:57 a.m. PST

*SPOILER ALERT*

Casting Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent was the great appeal for me . . . But having him change so convincingly and heartwrenchingly into his alter ego, telegraphed from early scenes, and then what happens . . . Poor Aaron.

He needs a long-term break, damn it. Dent coulda been that….

Jay Arnold18 Aug 2008 9:07 a.m. PST

Who says Harvey's dead?

Maybe he's locked away in a dark corner of Arkham on Gordon's orders?
