Well, I've been offered command of a brigade for the big Gettysburg reenactment in July. I'll have two battalions of my own Mifflin Guard and one or two other battalions. So, somewhere between 400 and 600 men. I think I'll need to get a horse for this one :)

In some ways brigade command is easier than battalion command. All I need to do is tell my battalion commander: 'you go over here, you go over there.' And then they have to figure out how to do it :)

OTOH, I have to be far more on top of how the scenario is supposed to go and make sure my part of the battle comes off correctly. It will be a challenge. Looking forward to it.

Congratulations. Promotion in peacetime is pretty difficult.
