Checking out the Will Eisner website,Isaw there are 2 different pictures on Darwyn Cooke`s hard cover "The Spirit book one"[not the dust jacket-but the hard cover itself]. I just recently sent for it and have no idea which cover I`ll receive.AS this book was just released last October, why 2 different covers when it`s the exact same contents inside?I also noticed there are 2 different isbn #. Any info will be greatly appreciated. |

To screw as much money as possible out of the collectors market??? That's the traditional reason for "variant covers" on comics. However if there are 2 different ISBNs then maybe one is the US territories edition and one is the UK territories edition (or some such). They would be re-typeset to alter the spelling of 'color' to 'colour' and other such vagaries of the English language. |

i've noticed that comic books now ship with two covers a lot of the time. The regular cover the reader gets. And for every 10 issues the dealer orders he gets one issue with the variant cover. |

Can you provide links to the two different covers? I'm a fan of the Spirit and am curious about this, myself. |
