OK I have a cordless house phone, you know the type. Has a little changer you sit it on, that plugs into your phone line. Had it over a year, no problems. Try to use it today and both cordless phones have Out of Range come up on the screen. How can that be, they arent cell phones, its right through normal land lines. Plus I know my phone line isnt down. Thoughts? Thanks, 2nd BB |

Unplug the base so it can reset, then plug it back in. It will get screwed up sometimes. Usually just needs to be reset. Should be fine. Sometimes they need to be reprogrammed like it was a new phone(if they had to be programmed when you got them). |

The newer phones have a longer lifespan, if they are not abused, and they were a quality phone to begin with. My Uniden with 3 handsets is going on 48+ months. But the set was $100 USD when I got them. Batteries can be 18 to 24 months though. |

Micman, you were right. I just unplugged the power source and then plugged it back in, works fine. I have Uniden too. Thanks guys, ill look into the new battery idea as well. |

another thing to look into with our set the phone is matched to a particular base station, and since they are identical the wife painted a recognition mark on one phone so we can tell which charger it goes on, otherwise our system goes dead :-) Dave |
