Looks like superheroes in modern day combat gear.

That would be sweet. Millar did a great re-invention of Cap with the Ultimates making him more of a soldier then a super-hero. Have to save his Civil War was very bad but I think it was more due to Editorial Mandates then his own concept.

I think he found out that buttkissing pays a lot more and a lot better than attacking flawed foreign policies and evil presidential mandates based on lies.

It's the Ultimates in desert garb and using normal names.

I mean, you have to admit it takes a lot of courage on the U.S. ARMY's boys to be there and risk their lives on a daily basis… But it's just too stupid to portray all of the soldiers as heroes, with so many "independent contractors" and their firms cashing fat checks over there, and the amount of incidents against civvies that have not been explained or punished.

To me, this is the all time low for Millar. But then again, he must be raking the Euros to pull this one, for the dollar is getting weaker, too.

Suffice it to say I am not going to even bother to flip through this one. Even if does have a "left wing commentary" pang to it, I'm not fattening his bank account.

Please, no politics here. I don't care if you're on the left or right. But if you have a problem with U.S. soldiers being portrayed 'Heroicly' then don't post here at all!
