THE SPIRIT ARCHIVES,DC`s monumental compilation of WILL EISNERs THE SPIRIT,is coming to an end this MAY with VOL.24[not sure if there is a vol.25?].A "MUST HAVE" for all SPIRIT fans,get them while they are still in print!VOL.24 is going to include "THE SPIRIT ON THE MOON!These volumes are truly "FOR THE AGES"!Was fortunate to have meet Eisner at a book signing in the early 80`s.Like his work,truly a GREAT man!! |

There will apparently be volumes 25 and 26. 25 will have the daily strips from 1942-43 (not much Eisner, but Lou Fine and Jack Cole should make up for that). The contents of 26 haven't yet been announced, but there's the new stuff from the Harvey comics, the New York Herald Tribune one-shot, the Kitchen Sink undergrounds, the Spirit Jam, and plenty of covers and pin-ups to fill it. |
