Been collecting the great Will Eisner material since the 80`s[graphic novels- Spirit archives – Kitchen Sink`s 8 comic issues of The Spirit from the late 90`s].Just recently learned that DC has been offering a monthly comic -"The SPIRIT" since 07!I always check the Eisner web site, but did not that year.DC has already started puting the series in hardcover:THE SPIRIT vol.1,the first 6 issues.I assume they will put out the rest. However,I still would like to have the comics. Can anyone tell me where online I might be able to order all the back issues[ besides e-bay].By the way, anyone interested in purchasing Eisner`s graohic novels, can get them from the publisher WWNorton[they are reprinting most,if not all,of his novels. Thanks to all who answer.camelphract |

I've used Mile High Comics for back-issues for a few years now. Looks like they have all of the DC Spirit back-issues: link And a lot of the Spirit Archives hardcovers, too: link |

I also use Mile High. Great bunch of people, never had a problem with any of my orders. |

I think there was also a oneshot crossover between Batman & The Spirit which came out right before the new series by DC. |

The new Spirit series is so very great! Just like everything else done by Darwyn Cooke. For example I can't recommed enough his DC: New Frontiers and the early issues of Catwoman. If you liked Eisner's original I dearly recommed the new Spirit to you. I'm curious to see how the series will change this spring when it is going to be written by Mark Evanier and drawn by Sergio Aragones. Howevermuch I like this duo, hopefully Cooke is just taking a breather and will return to the series later on. This spring will also bring out he last volume (#24) of the DC Spirit Archives. |
