There are a few pics of the new rugby miniatures produced by Grant Reid on our clubs 'cup challenge' blog if anyone wants to see how they paint up etc …

Is that L'Homme des Cavernes I spy at the front of the Sale line-up?

Cool, I like him. Those figs seem to have a lot of character. Interesting project.

Are those figures available commercially?

Cheers,

Martin

My point exactly, can you buy these figs?

I'm at work and blogs are blocked so can't see what scale they are but I think PeterPig do 15mm rugby players or footballers (round ball version).

You can buy the figs direct from Grant Reid – a lot of the figures in the pictures have had green stuff hairstyles to make them look like the people – Caveman included, but the figs haven't been changed otherwise.

They are £30.00 GBP for 2 teams and balls which is good,

Peter Pig only do a couple of first world war characters in sports gear.

Email sent. Will look into the Crash Tackle game as well, thanks!

Crash Tackle is the best rugby game around – far better than the very longwinded vector movement Rugby World and a better representation than the Gren Rugby Addicts game. You need to use the advanced additional rules from the web site and it is hard to get as the South African lads produce it themselves, although it is excellently done (they are graphic designers I think). If you want any other info about it just ask or look it up on board Game Geek.

Many thanks to everyone who has shown interest and support for these figures.
Crash tackle is a great game that inspired me to sculpt these figures. At the moment I am working on a website, it will be up and running soon.
The cost of the figures is £36.00 GBP for 2 teams of 15 players, bases, balls.
If anyone is interested in buying these figures then please email me at darachstone@yahoo.co.uk

It looks brilliant.

So, next question: When I find the money to buy these minis my gal will want one team painted up as England. Anyone have any ideas on finding the rose they have on the uniform as a transfer? Or is the scale such that a red blob will suffice?

You can buy the figures here

I placed an order last night, eagerly looking forward to seeing them in the pewter.
