Heroscape: Road to the Forgotten Forest

It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

I can not express how much I enjoyed the first two volumes of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but this one, while clever at times, just did not work for me. Anyone else disappointed by this third volume of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?

Bought it .. but haven't read it yet … Still in the Dark Tower graphic novel ..(among several other books).

Yeah, it started off well, but I thought the ending was a bit weak. I did like the 3D, though :)

Is this a series or a softbound graphic novel?

It's finally out?

Passed it up in the bookstore the other day. It had no pull whatsoever.

And it's a hardcover graphic novel:

I agree with Mysterioso. It is a gorgeous book with very high production values, but rather lackluster.

There isn't any tension in the main plot, in fact it seems like it was just created as an excuse to show the details of the dossier and how well read Allen Moore is. It should have been presented as a supplement instead of Part Three in the series.

On the other hand, I did enjoy the post-Orwellian England theme and the rather nasty portrayal of a certain Jimmy Bond which is a nice inside joke for League fans.

Hopefully, there will be a proper Part Three in the offering.

I've not seen it yet. I was a big fan of the first two.

I understand that a certain disregard of copyright laws (primarily involving Bond, I assume) has led to this being largely unavailable outside the US. Apparently an editor was fired for failure to consider this. I know this from my own editor, regarding some Public Domain (or not) characters in my own next book.

How sad -- it takes place in the 1950s? I'm already disappointed.

I didn't even realise this was out. I've been looking forward to it for so long now, but to find that it's not set in the Victorian era, and to read some bad reviews of it, I think I'll be avoiding it. A real shame!
