Interesting article but sort of didn't have a point beyond doing it. But at least they got it back together which is more than I would have been able to do.

Aside from showing me a good reason (manufacturer battery change requirement) to wait for another model, the article was interesting mostly for the sheer geekery.

Ah, but there is a point. A news article said people were cracking it open to see what components were being used so as to invest in those companies. And in fact their stock prices went up a bit. (Apple's fell a bit at the same time.)

$600 USD and they took it apart?!? Competent techies or not, to me that's nuts. But hey it's not my phone so they can use it for a beer coaster if they really want.
