I used to re enact the Napoleonic wars as part of the 45th(Nottinghamshire) RGT. We had a Grenadier company and a small Light COmpany. I went to Malta, Calooney and Corunna as well as a couple of Richmonds, Bolsovers, Belpers, History in Actions and Fort Amhurst. I left around my second year of university, and after uni I was working and devoting my time to Wine Women and SOng. I came to Japan after a wasted year… and in the time ive been here the 45th seem to have dissappered. Ive lost contact with all but one of the guys and hes moved away and says he doesnt know whats happened to them either.
Anyone here know what happened to them?
They were debating commiting themselves to the "composite battalion" along with the 33rd, 68th and maybe the 23rd were getting in on it too. Does the composite battalion still re enact together?

Why not try contacting the other groups to see if they know hwat has happened to the 45th?

The 33rd and 69th were at Waterloo in 2005. I did not see any 45ths.

I will check my contact list and get back.

O.K. After some research. It is possible that they have joined up with the 95th. I have also found the web site for the 33rd;

iain@95th-rifles.co.uk
33rdfoot.co.uk
