Looks like a good way for new players to get into the game. The price is a good one for what you get.

Actually, I am surprised that no one has done this video sooner. I do not know of any other WW2 starter sets for miniatures with the rules in them and an introductory guide.

Kudos!

Actually, Italeri put out a game called "Operation: Overlord" that included 200 Germans and Americans (100 each) and 2 tanks, rules and cards. I believe the price was $65. USD

The Infantry were of various poses and unit types, you got Mortars and Anti-tank weapon figures too. The big problem for me with this set, the tanks were model kits. MUCH assembly required.

But I really liked the rules. thumbs up

Hey! They got StuGs whose schuerzen weren't all shattered to pieces. Lucky guys!

SHHHHHH, Quiet Allen, the FOW police might hear you! We'll offer up someone else instead.

Yeah, I got the shattered shuerzen on mine plus they have a resin "plug" on the bottom where they poured the resin into the mold that was not sanded down well so my tanks all sit lopsided. I should be able to fix it with a dremel but I havent gotten around to it.

My StuGs were also broken on the skirts (schuerzen?). Since I'm playing US Rifles, I went ahead and converted the broken German tanks to 15mm sci-fi. One Sherman is drunk due to the cast, too :)

hmm…I have operation overlord and it's 1st expansion Paratrooper Attack sat next to me still. Loved the rules, but it's dead now..author suffered upownarseitis from what i gather.

Nonetheless a great excuse to buy a shedload of airfix and italeri kits, which are now used for BKC…

Back on topic…Wouldnt at least a few bases of infantry included be a good idea?
