It's stumpy calf syndrome once again, I fear. Sadly it's an all-too-common sculpting transgression in the historical miniatures industry; rare in the exclusively fantasy/SF scene (excepting actual dwarf sculpts, of course). Some brands are more afflicted than others.

It never ceases to amaze me that in this day and age a sculptor can progress figures to the final production stage without noticing such glaringly obvious disproportion in his work.

Thank you so much for the nice comments! Im glad your enjoying my work. Still 23 years full time in this industry can't be too bad can it for such awful sculpting? It is always nice to hear from others in the industry and to give feedback isn't it.

Yes Nick I concur, have a ton of the pikemen, they fit nicely with my 1stCorps figures, have just placed an order for these, it's great too see the range expanding

Great looking set of miniatures. Love the variety of headdress available for the gamer/collector.

Looking forward in seeing this range expand.

Best regards,

GH

Awesome news, these sculpts look great!
Its not a period I have given much attention before, but that is going to change with these.
I am going to put in an order for these lads soon.

The head pakcs is certainly a nice asset that will provide variety and character on the gaming table.
I will follow the development of this range with a keen interest.

How do they compare in size to Perry and Warlord figures?

Steve Barber28 Sep 2018 7:11 a.m. PST

Hi Thomas, our figures match scale wise to Perry figures. I hope that helps..

idontbelieveit28 Sep 2018 7:43 a.m. PST

These look terrific, Steve!

Steve Barber28 Sep 2018 9:11 a.m. PST

Thank you guys! There will be lost more packs to come.

panzerwaffen28 Sep 2018 9:13 a.m. PST

How are they size wise compared to Warlord Plastics? Also are they same size as Perry or bigger?

Steve Barber28 Sep 2018 10:06 a.m. PST

Hi Panzerwaffen, I don't have any to compare at the moment. Ours are usually blend quite well with Perry Metals I have been told on other ranges. Do you have any scale images of how Warlord scale with Perry?

Charge The Guns10 Oct 2018 12:42 p.m. PST

I happily use Perry with Warlord metal and plastic.
Mmm. Perhaps I need some of these too :)

Nice one Steve.

I don't see anything wrong with Steve's new sculpts they look like well represented period clothes and positions, especially the firing pose. Some people just like to complain because they didn't do it themselves. Please carry on Steve.

Thanks Guys. I appreciate the remarks. Ragged pikemen standing will be available in two weeks. Lots more to come!
