Just what is an "assassin" planet?

darthfozzywig04 Feb 2012 8:29 a.m. PST

Maybe their reworded equivalent to a 40k Deathworld?

Any planet that looks like Arizona along the I-10 west of Phoenix.

The other release, an urban theme, is really good looking.

The manufacturers are Italian so I guess they mean "killer planet" or "Death world". We use the same word for assassin and killer.

They have some really nice stuff on thier site. I like the idea of being able to buy the whole 4x6 and have it printed out as 1 piece.

Would be more convenient if you could by them already printed.

I guess shipping would be a killer. Also printing in Europe would probably put them out of the US market because of the weak dollar. A 20 euros print job in Italy is the equivalent of a $20 USD print job in the US, but due to the exchange rates becomes $30 USD+.

Much easier to buy the inexpensive file, put it on a memory card and go to a local print store.

This *seems* like a neat idea.

But by the time you've paid for printing, wouldn't you have as much or more $$$ into a *paper* mat as you would into a real mat from Zuzzy or somewhere?

I guess I could print something that size for around 15-20 euros (but I have access to special pricing at the same printer I use for my books).

A Zuzzy mat of this size is at least $52 USD + $30 USD shipping for me, plus random customs and delivery time.

If you can, I can see the appeal. I couldn't get it done for anything close to that.
