Does anybody know if they are planning any changes to FoG Renaissance rules? |

This edition apparently has a different author, which makes me wonder what's going on. I didn't care for the first edition but perhaps this one is worth trying. Has anyone played these rules or, better yet, written a review? |

New army lists? Apparently just to fix some costs? This edition has to be a MAJOR improvement for me to swap over… |

I have been playing FOG since the start and from what I can tell V3 is about speeding up the game in response to ADLG, MeG and other new kids on the block. I am not a tournament player so I don't need the game speeding up so I will be sticking to V2. There are changes afoot to FOG Renaissance but no new rule book is being published. As I understand it the new rules and changes to lists and points values will be released in a free to download PDF |

Hopefully it reduces the tedium of resolving multi unit melee |

We considered the more recent experiments involving single stands of troops, as opposed to "units", but in the end decided that the concept was flawed and introduced inherent problems into the game design. That'll presumably be all of those "flawed" DBx-based sets that have been unsuccessfully released as "experiments" over the last, say, 20+ years then..? |

I'd like to see some game reviews before going back to FoG. |
