Is it safe to trust a blonde lady with your boxes?

Gary Mitchell16 May 2012 9:06 a.m. PST

Good luck with the move. Is Chicago nice? I've never been?

I would trust her with anything… grin

Martian Root Canal16 May 2012 9:23 a.m. PST

Does this mean we can finally play a game of Martian Empires, Mark? LOL.

ordinarybass16 May 2012 9:41 a.m. PST

Cool, another game company moving to (or near to) Chicago!

Gary,
Chicago is great!
Though I am a bit biased.

Gary Mitchell16 May 2012 9:45 a.m. PST

Thanks ordinarybass, I'll put it on my list of places to visit.

Welcome back to Chicagoland and as I live close to the area you're looking to locate to, I won't have far to travel for some painting supplies.

Pictors Studio16 May 2012 9:54 a.m. PST

Good thing you switched over to 15s. They are smaller and lighter to transport.

Rudysnelson16 May 2012 10:11 a.m. PST

Have a safe and uneventful move. Best of luck in your new location.
My book distributor lives in Forest Park. he does some gaming too.

I would trust her with anything…

And that Bill, will be your undoing….

Long Island Gamer16 May 2012 10:29 a.m. PST

Best wishes for a safe move. And if you listen to Murph – you'll be living somewhere in the deep South ;)

I'm very concerned. Those boxes to the right look precariously stacked, and they might fall over and bonk her on the head. Then I'd need to rush over and give her CPR. And we can't have that.

(Gently nudges box.)

Can she trust you with her box? That's the real question.

Sundance16 May 2012 11:00 a.m. PST

WOW! Wish I was still in Chicago – I lived in Elmwood Park for 30 years, which is just north of the Oak Park/River Forest/Maywood area.

Looks like Scale Creep's move is progressing nicely:

Mark,

Welcome back.

I hope this reflects positive personal economics, because if you haven't been watching state finances, Illinois is now in the worst financial shape of any of the states. Get ready to pay more taxes.

if you plan to open a retail B&M it would give me a reason to venture south of the state line

<You know….a reputable company would not have to keep moving around like this>

Don't tell Mark I said that.

Sumatran Rat Monkey16 May 2012 1:05 p.m. PST

Good luck with the move. Is Chicago nice? I've never been?

Best pizza in the US, and don't let the deluded Mew Yorker/Connecticutters/Arizoned/Lost Anglophiles tell you otherwise!

Absolutely fantastic aquarium, as well (Shedd's) that is (or at least, was, many moons ago) waling distance from a nice planetarium, as well, as I recall.

Im sorry business is so bad you have to move to some slum city just to survive. My advice is the "Rock Chunker" delux reloader. Start melting down that mountain of lead and start casting bullets. That is, if they allow you to own a gun in them thar big cities ;-)

So when does Moving: The Miniatures Game come out?

Moving Chicks with Gatlings (28mm)

Zombie Moving Crew with Incendiary Rifles (28mm)

companycmd16 May 2012 2:49 p.m. PST

I'm also happy to announce that all orders over $5,000 USD will be delivered by said blonde in person.

Zombie Moving Crew… describes the last time I moved.

I was just in Chicago for the first time. Caught a Cubs game (they lost). Had fun anyway. Next time I get up that way maybe I'll swing by the store.

Doug MSC16 May 2012 6:26 p.m. PST

My home town, in the city itself, from a nice Italian neighborhood. This California Pizza just don't cut it. Give me a nice Italian Beef and sausage sandwich! Oh boy, now your making me want to come home for a visit!

corporalpat16 May 2012 6:28 p.m. PST

Sorry to see you go Mark, but if I had a moving crew like that I guess I'd go anywhere! We'll miss you at HMGSGL. Thanks for all the hard work "Mr. Editor", and good luck in your new location. This gives me an excuse to get to Chi-town again. See you at Little Wars down the road.

willievonluck17 May 2012 5:22 a.m. PST

Mark,
You will definitely be missed here in Cincinnati. I didn't get to your store as much as I would have liked, but that's what 2 little ones will do to you. Good luck in Chicago.

Where in Chicago specifically? I am in SE Minnesota, about 6 hours away. Roadtrip!

Funny, I was in Brown County, Indiana two weeks ago and I almost drove to Cincinnati to your store.
