Wonderfull!!! Now if you would knock out some similar exotic~ 25/ 28mm … I would have to play ;-| BTW- you refer to your 1806 French as 'troopers'. Of course, this is a cavalry term only, and these men are 'Fusiliers' of the Grande Armée? BTW[ii]-Also, forgive me, but you have not made the 1806 shako bell topped? They are a little too 'straight' perhaps? Sincere regards dave |

Yes, I was told that troopers are riders and troops are footman, but I was too lazy to go and rewrite all these old texts. These 1806 are my old figures and on these days I tried to achieve absolute accuracy. These shakos have almost correct shape and size.
Here are 1806 master dolls, the bell shape is clearly visible.

I agree the shako is well depicted and cartridge boxes though small in usual sculptor fashion, but not too small, very good silhouette, huge bell topped shakos are of Bardin fashion. For the nice infantry officer I would opt for line infantry lapels and not pointed ones, also the heel digging gait, not that typical in 18th century, your infantry above would do well as guidance. Hair style is of wild early Revolutionary period, but for 1795 like – a queue would be more likely. |

Just noted on the officers, you give two fringed epaulettes, which would be a chef de bataillon, but for an officer on foot I would opt far a capitain style fashion of epaulettes. |

But there are only left shoulder epaulette with fringes. Also for now it is resculpted to line infantry one with matching lapels. |

>>These 1806 are my old figures and on these days I tried to achieve absolute accuracy. I apologise I could not see that from the silhouettes. I admit my eyesight is failing which is another reason i could never go to smaller scales. All the best, let's hope Estonia remains free. dave |

Are these figure measured from foot to eye or to where the top of the head would be? |
Sho Boki | 29 Mar 2022 1:25 p.m. PST |
MM are from foot to eyes, 1:100 are full height with representing variations from 160cm to 190cm tall men. Average napoleonics height of men was 170cm, which is 16mm to eyes in 1:100 scale. The weapons and equipment are the same for all, but figures have different height, light infantry are smaller and grenadiers taller. I have dolls for 3 sizes but will use only 2 smaller ones. The biggest ones I will use for Old Guard Grenadiers on some day. |

Thank you – I was hoping they might fit in with 'true' 20mm figures but I guess not in that case. |
