Seems good news, congratulations.

I'm worried if Ian will still make the Normandy vehicles he was planning to do and if the vehicles now carried by JTFM and CompanyB will still be cast in metal or will be now casted in resin.

Pizzagrenadier22 Jan 2009 8:20 a.m. PST

I was curious about that as well. Will the new stuff be in resin? I assume so as that is JFTMs primary medium (and a damn fine caster he is too!).

Also, I know Ian was working on the Unic halftrack for 21st Panzer in Normandy (the modified French halftrack)…will that be released by either company or both?

That is one kit that is an absolute must have for me.

I wouldn't be worried about the materials at all. Considering just how incredible all of Jeff's resin stuff is I would be fine with the tanks being made of that.

Pizzagrenadier22 Jan 2009 8:21 a.m. PST

I like resin better than metal myself, so this is good news to me (at least for the hulls, I do like metal detail parts, and especially barrels!).

Hi guys,

As always my stuff will be in resin. Due to a snafu with my webmaster, his day job got in the way, my website post containing the list of models I'll be producing won't be posted til tomorrow. So here it is….

Ian will still be producing the early war BEF 1940 stuff and his moderns. I have right to the early war stuff. We need to work out the details as to how that will work with my product for overseas regarding those models.

If you have any questions I'm always available at: info@diewaffenkammer.com

Cheers,

Jeff

JTFM Enterprises acquires the rights to Chieftain Models!

Following is a list of models which JTFM Enterprises now owns and will begin producing as soon as the masters arrive. Stay tuned as I will be posting release dates as I bring the models on stream. These kits will be available from a growing list of stockists in the U.K. and E.U. as well as JTFM directly and North Bay Games and Hobbies in North America. JTFM Enterprises will also be actively pursuing contacts in Australia and the region to ensure availabilty in that region of the world.

Germany: Hetzer, Jagdpanther, Jagdpanzer IV A, Marder II, Panther Ausf.A, Pz.III early, Pz.38T, Pz.II Ausf.F, R-35 Panzerjaeger, SdKfz.231, SdKfz.233, SdKfz.250/1/3/9 Alte, StuG.III Ausf.D, StuG.III Ausf.G, Pz.IV early, and the Sturmhaubitze 42.

Western Allies: Cruiser A13, Humber Scout Car, Marmon Herrington Mk.III, Morris CS9, Austin K5, Universal Carrier Mk.I and Mk.II, M4 Sherman Mk.I / Firefly Ic, Staghound Armoured Car, and the Tetrarch.

France: R-35

Russia: BT-5

The rights to new crew figures and stowage will also be coming over to us in this deal.

There maybe some additions to this list as I'm awaiting a definitive list from Ian Crouch at Chieftain Models.

In other news the master for the M4A4 Sherman Mk.V / Firefly Vc is enroute to me from Mike Broadbent in Australia. He is currently working on a GMC "Deuce and a Half" and then will be moving on to an M4A2 Sherman, an M4A1 Sherman, and then an M4A3E8.

Tony Ashcroft has completed the master for the Neubaufahrzeug and I'll have the master in hand early February. He will then move on to a Pz.III Ausf.J which will become the basis for later versions using upgrade kits.

John Pierson is close to completing the T-34 Model 1943 which will be available with the following turret configurations: Hex style "Mickey Mouse", Uralmash, and T-34/85. He will then be moving on to one of three other projects on our list.

From me the M3 Lee/Grant requires the completion of the application of rivets. Then the SdKfz.251/9 late Stummel and SdKfz.251/22D will be completed. Following that I will resume work on the Tiger I early and late models.

We'll also try to through in some Zimmerit coated vehicles along the way!

Cheers and happy gaming !

This is good news and I also hope that the Normandy range that was coming will still be made and expanded upon. I do wish the best to everyone involved and will support them by purchasing large qunatites of vehicles. So start cranking them out.

axabrax22 Jan 2009 8:48 a.m. PST

What about overlap? For instance whose LRDG Chevy will be sold? Company B's or Cheiftains?

Jeff, you wanting some more pics then…..

Jeff at JTFM Enterprises22 Jan 2009 9:14 a.m. PST

The overlap will exist with the BEF stuff that Ian and I will both be doing, as we've yet to figure out if my casts will be available through my representatives in the U.K. I can't say more than that they'll be readily available this side of the pond….

French vehicles will still be cast by Ian as I've only acquired the R-35. Co.B and I still have as yet not decided what to do with them over here.

There's one overlap between Co.B and I and that's the BT-5 and that's not a problem as we see it…

I'm not sure how Co.B will handle which if any vehicles will supercede others….

Yes Neil PICTURES !!!!!

Cheers,

Jeff

Jeff,

Will you be bringing your wares to Cold Wars or Historicon?

Disco Joe22 Jan 2009 10:15 a.m. PST

"There's one overlap between Co.B and I and that's the BT-5"
So then this means CompanyB has plans on doing a completely brand new one as opposed to the one Ian had out?

Jeff at JTFM Enterprises22 Jan 2009 10:24 a.m. PST

Time will dictate if anything will be at Cold Wars or Historicon, but I will try.

Joe, we'll be using the same BT-5 but Co.B will be for the conflict between Russia and Japan in Manchuria during the early war. The turrets differ between their and my versions…

More clarifications:

Company B will be producing the Unic P107

The overlap on the LRDG vehicles will be something to looked at. I suspect that one will become primary and the other special order but that needs to be determined.

Resin vs. Metal is still up in the air. Please rest assured that the decision will be based on quality.
