Not "Songs of Flying Lead?" I thought Ganesha only did songwriting. grin

oh no we also have "mutants and death ray guns" and "Fear and Faith" for example, which are quite popular without being a song :-)

But they both would make good song titles for a band like "the Cramps"….:-)

I just wanted to say that "The Nigerian Oil Minister" is the coolest, funniest moniker I have ever heard.

So it looks like – judging from the force builder app – the point costs for FL don't jive with F&F, at least as far as weapons are concerned. (For instance, a 3/2 cop with a pistol and a shotgun costs 38 points in F&F – but costs 62 points(!) in FL, according to the force builder.)

That's really too bad – I'd have liked to have merged the two for a more flexible modern horror game…

I just bought it for $8. USD Pretty inexpensive.

Zenwired – that's cos the effects are stronger in FL for shooting … all you have to do is adopt the FL shooting, point up the weapons with the weapon builder and then add it as a special to the F&F builder, it will up the cost but then a normal game is 600 points so you should end up ahead :)

Interesting – thanks, Surferdude.

We will publish articles in our free webzine Free Hack about merging FL with other Ganesha sets. Give us time and we'll do that.

Weapons are less effective in FF as many monsters are either immune to them or able to get close into HTH combat very fast. HTH is very rare in FL.

FL focuses on projectile weapons so it just makes sense to use some granularity in detailing the relative usefulness of, say, a pistol vs an assault rifle.

Besides, the point system is just a framework. As much as the point system is a strong selling point of our games, I think scenario design and terrain are more important than points anyway.

We get a good bit of HtH in our FL games as we have been using them for 'Yakuzza' and Hong Kong gang fights as well as Predator type games (the stealth ability works well for predators!)

The ability to fire at characters charging in to melee makes it more of a dangerous thing to do though!
