They look fabulous – the painting style works so well on these. Now the Seven Seas Pirates look too good to resist. |

Animation and character is just wonderful. Love the Kung foo fighters especially as I have recently taken up martial arts again. Any more sneak peaks of Biblicals coming soon. Sorry to highjack Kung Foo thread but Pirates got a mention :) |

I have some of the Ronin models and really like them
.. Except for the swords, they don't really represent katana's. They're too thick and often the wrong shape (I realise casting thin bits of metal is tricky but still..) looking more like bokken to me. I know it's possible as I own perry unarmoured bushi and the swords are much better. The taijutsu practioner in me wants to paint that ninja as holding an umbrella rather than the over large kitchen knife it is. |

Figures are available now, eh? Dunno why, but I haven't been this inspired for figs since the Lead Adventure P-A STALKER line was released. I'm very keen on the SWAT and Yak, so much so I'm ready to order direct. C'mon, Brigade Games! |

How would these suit for vampire hunting games such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yes, I do know I am a sad sorry individual!)? |

And why does the movie Blazing Saddle come to mind? Would love to see figures inspired by the old Kung Fu show and of course the newer movies such as Kung Fu Hustle. The figure releases are awesome and are enough for me to get involved. How are the Osprey rules by the way? |
Dr Mathias | 28 Jan 2014 1:47 p.m. PST |
I thought I read that this was based off of the 'Song of Blades and Heroes' mechanics, and that's a popular and fun skirmish system. I like that Opsrey isn't using a single basic ruleset to cover all the genres. |

The figures are all painted by Kev Dallimore. Kevin's a member of staff at North Star and his job involves painting the miniatures, photographing them and then designing the artwork for the advertising and box sets. So once we've given him the metal figures, we sit back and let him do all the work. :-) The miniatures have all been designed by another North Star staff member, Steve Saleh. The Ninja was sculpted by Mark Sims and painted by Dave Woodward, neither of which are staff members but work with us so closely you wouldn't know they weren't! Nick PS Once the Kung Fu orders are sent out, we'll start to talk more about the Pirate project. |
