I've put one together. it DOES look nice. The main question I have is what color do I use for the green?

Just finished painting mine. Used GW catellan green (same roughly as olive gray from vallejo) as base coat. Then half and halfed that with field gray from vallejo. Then a very faint highlight of khaki + field gray. Colors look at least passable for the production photos they've been showing.

Dave beat me to it.

Nice looking model. It does appear to have a little more detail than the Blue Moon miniature, but at a slightly higher price.

Is it me or was it a cunning plan to fool the enemy that is is impossible to see which end is the front. Are they coming or going? Should we chase or flee?

Don't know but it looks like a ship on the land with a raised area/bridge toward the rear. Probably makes sense considering the Admiralty were the big push behind tanks, at least a first.

It could be the case but more likely just an expedient way to create a covered area for the driver and crew, given that the compartment had to be located at the rear. As noted by BF, the original idea had been to build a rotating turret but the pressure was really on to get the Whippets delivered.
