Mega minis would be a good home!
Also will the Gwar minis ever be back???

Weren't the GWAR molds all stolen in a break-in way back when? Or is that an urban myth?

Alxbates04 Feb 2010 7:03 a.m. PST

I did love those Gwar figures. I've still got a set buried deep, deep, in my collection!

Broadsword04 Feb 2010 7:23 a.m. PST

I was thinking Mega Minis, as well.

Please keep us informed!

Not a myth; all the molds that demonblade had rights to were stolen from the factory Excelsior Entertainment were spinning them from, as well as the backstock of DB stuff. None of the Warzone, Inferno, Legions of Steel etc. stuff were stolen.
This hobby really needs a movie made of it!

Keep in mind that this "Myth" was actually a statement in an old TMP article by Excelsior and only reflect their side of the story.

The unreleased Brain Rat was in that lot as well.

I'd love to see some of the Shockforce minis back in production. Hope it comes off.

Goldwyrm05 Feb 2010 6:35 a.m. PST

It would be good to see these back in production some day. In addition to the occasional Shockforce game, I've been using some of the ShockForce medium armored troopers as LAMI in Starship Troopers. I could use a few more.

Lets not forget DeadTech. Very cool stuff. Would make a nice run in a Deadland:GRW game too.

Great line of minis!

Didn't Shock Force's striking nearly identical resemblance to 40K marines and metal Cadians get them shut down. I don't think I'd put that line out with the current mood of GW lawyers.

The not imperial guard models were so similar I unknowingly once bought a used lot, thinking that they were Cadians.

PygmaelionAgain05 Feb 2010 9:29 p.m. PST

I'm not sure I'd mistake the Demonblade figures for "authentic Cadians" unless someone was willfully leading me to believe they were, and even then.. the guns are different, the armor is different, the helmets and boots are different.

I mean "Look ma, no skullz"… 2 legs, a futuristic rifle, and a mean lookin' face and suddenly you're from East Grimdark?

RKE Steve06 Feb 2010 11:42 a.m. PST

The whole GW thing was a couple of figures that looked like a few GW figs, those figs were pulled from the line. That never came close to shutting them down, only like 2 or 3 figures.
