Wasn't the battle of Jassy a smashing German defensive victory that stabilized the Balkan front for months? Is this The Twilight Zone version? |

@Beowulf The battle in August 44 certainly was not a "smashing German victory". Perhaps you refer to the earlier battles? One major offensive failed in June. |

The first battles for Iasi (Jassy) were in May and covered in Glantz's book. This book covers the operations at the end of August some 3 months later. So, as I said, might be a great companion. |
